GROUP EXHIBITION
Every Other Week2022
Development of “Semana sim, semana não” [Every Other Week], a group exhibition part of the various activities related to the centenary of the Week of Modern Art of 1922. Its objective was to intersect the inaugural moment of Modernism in Brazil and critically reconsider its nature and effects. Specifically conceived for the architectural qualities of Casa Zalszupin, the show brought together works produced under the initial modernist vein and works created in recent years. The idea was to juxtapose and contrast gestures seeking to synthesize landscapes, bodies, and their disposition in the continuum of life, revealing both continuities and unavoidable conflicts that mark these two Brazilian contexts, which coexist albeit a century apart.
