ZMR VS. TMM

Development of a collective exhibition entitled "Zimar vs. Thiago Martins de Melo: A Thousand Heads under the Apotheosis of the Last Sky" for Lima Galeria's booth at SP–Arte Rotas Brasileiras 2023. The show proposed a dialogue between two artists from Maranhão with distinct backgrounds and practices, yet with the same inventive vigor and strong references to Brazilian culture as the basis for their creative expressiveness. In a unique installation, Zimar's masks are combined with Thiago Martins de Melo's sculptural paintings, composing an atmosphere charged with energy, permeated by the manifestation of multiple expressive characters, like a ritualistic space or a force field for the intense circulation of various narratives. The project also included a small printed publication.
